Fulfilling Programme
The SKI plus CITY Pass Stubai Innsbruck includes admission to the Taxispalais. It thus opens the door to a varied programme: graphic competitions, group exhibitions, and much more.
In 1964 the gallery was founded in the Taxispalais. The baroque City Palais in the Maria-Theresien-Straße in Innsbruck shows international contemporary art in various exhibitions. In 1999, an extension was made that allows visitors to encounter art across about 800 square metres. Its central location makes the Taxispalais an attraction in Innsbruck which can be combined with a walk into the medieval old town of Innsbruck. The exhibitions in the Kunsthalle Tirol are in stark contrast to the Golden Roof or the City Tower. A total of 5 exhibition rooms are well filled with works by contemporary art-ists. The regularly changing programme reflects the expertise of those responsible in the Taxispalais.

The Taxispalais with the Kunsthalle appeals to both art lovers and winter sports enthusiasts who enjoy sightseeing in Innsbruck. Artist talks, lectures, performances, and workshops, including some for children, bring the art experience to life. In particular, the panel discussions are a popular venue for art exchange.
In their own Leseraum, bookworms and those thirsting for knowledge can find their refuge. Numerous international art and cultural journals are accessible to every visitor in the library, which contains around 7,500 publications.
