On a total of 4 hectares, the Alpine Zoo is home to about 2,000 alpine animals of about 150 species. The enclosures for the animals from the Alpine region are embedded in nature, and one can sense immediately that the animals feel at home here. The brown bears always welcome visitors and let the sun shine on their bellies, or bathe with apparent pleasure. The lynxes are masters of hiding in the mighty treetops, and the eagles glide majestically through the air, while the nimble ibex balance on the rocks.
Hearing the wolves howl or just watching the adorable otters, a visit to the Alpine Zoo in Innsbruck during your winter holiday is truly an amazing experience. Children are always captivated by the show stable.
